Hey, my name is Zekarias Belachew and I’m a senior at George Mason University majoring in Electrical Engineering. My responsibility in this project consists of finding and implementing a humidity/moisture sensor to measure the levels in the surrounding air in order to help with fungal detection.  

My passion for electrical engineering has stemmed from my curiosity about the various functionalities of computers, and I am very eager to utilize the skills I’ve learned for this project as well as for projects moving forward. I like to be very hands on, so you could call me a hardware type of guy, but I don’t mind dabbling in the software as well. I love collaborating with others in similar fields to help tackle real world problems, and this project is the perfect challenge to test not only my abilities, but the abilities of my team members as well.
